Metadata and Status

Metadata

Each file on the Hub comes with additional information called metadata. You can find the metadata of an asset by clicking on the asset in the Hub, opening the detailed view page. If you have a Creator Role, you will be able to edit the metadata on an asset.

Metadata can be edited on single assets or in bulk. Simply click on the edit button of the metadata you want to change in the detailed view page.

For bulk editing you need to:

  • Multi-select the assets you want to edit metadata on

  • Go to the selection drop-down on the top of the page

  • Open the drop-down and select Multi Edit

Dependencies

Some metadata fields will only show after you added a specific tag. For example, for an asset to display the metadata fields color and finish, it would have to be tagged as KeyShot Type>Materials.

Note

When uploading assets through KeyShot Studio, your assets will have already automatically been tagged with some metadata tags, e.g. KeyShot Type. If you upload files manually to the Hub, you will also need to add tags manually.

Status

The Status of an asset can be viewed on the asset card in the home screen or in the list view. If you have a Creator Role, you will be able to edit the Status on the detailed view page.
